2019 Outstanding Athlete

Tem Saeui

Tem has been competing in Delaware Senior Olympics contests since 2002. He won a gold in his first men’s single tennis tournament and has never looked back, winning gold locally every year he’s competed. And he’s just as successful at the regional and national levels. At the National Senior Games,he brought home gold in 2009, 2013, 2019 and 2022; brought home silver in20 17 and bronze in 2011 and 2015. Tem is just as much a force in mixed doubles as in singles. He and his partner, Annie Rizzo, won gold in 2014,2016, and 2018 locally in his age bracket. At the National Senior Games, they won gold in 2013 and 2019 and silver in 2022. Tem has also led his USTAover-65 team to regional championships over the years. Tem’s passion for tennis is easy to see. He plays every day and always exemplifies sportsmanship both on and off the tennis court.
