November 10: CHEER Annual Veterans Dinner Dance, 5 to 9pm, 20520 Sand Hill Road in Georgetown. Admission is free for veterans with ID or DD214. For all spouses and/or guests who are not veterans, a $10 donation is requested. A full buffet will be served from 5-6:30pm and a ceremony honoring all branches of the military will follow.

November 12: Annual Veterans Apple Pie Social, 1pm, the Judge Morris Estate, 76 Polly Drummond Hill Road in Newark. Veterans and guests are invited for pie and conversation in the lovely Judge Morris Estate. Local veterans will have displays of their military service or current veteran activities. Coffee and pie, courtesy of Perkins Restaurant will be served. Free to veterans and their guests. Park entrance fee in effect. Pre-registration is required by calling 302-368-6900.
